Put simply, the Cowley Road Carnival presents you with an amazing day out. Oxford’s best day out of the year! 

Open to all, there is a packed programme of activities and performance which offers something for everyone – of all ages, interests and tastes.  At every point across our festival site you are guaranteed to find something to entertain, to learn, to do, to take part in, to try for the first time or to taste.

Unlike the big – and small – festivals we don’t charge entry. You can do all of this for free. But we do urge you to contribute if you can. Every year we need to raise around £130,000 to enable us to manage our activities all year round as well as to cover our Carnival Day event management and overheads which includes road closures, medical support, stewarding and staging. If every one of our 50,000 carnival-goers donated just £1 it would go a very long way towards securing our costs.

Your donation will also help to support our year-round outreach and community projects, and in particular our work with some of the most vulnerable and disadvantaged individuals and groups. Our work really does make a difference.
